KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms in several west coast states and parts of Sabah and Sarawak until 3pm today.
Severe weather is expected throughout Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Johor, and Melaka as well as parts of Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Sarawak, and Sabah.
The warning for Kedah covers Langkawi and Padang Terap.
In Perak, the affected districts are Batang Padang and Muallim.
In Selangor, the affected areas are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat.
The warning also covers Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampinin Negri Sembilan.
Residents in Marudi and Limbang in Sarawak and those in Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Tuaran in Sabah can also expect bad weather.
