SEPANG: Malaysia Airlines, together with its sister airlines Firefly and MASwings, will waive flight change fee for Malaysians with existing bookings with the airline.
This is in conjunction with the upcoming 14th General Election on 9 May 2018.
“This is to allow Malaysians to fulfil their responsibility as voters,” said the Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG) in a statement today.
It said the waiver is applicable for all types of tickets which travel date falls between 8 to 10 May inbound or outbound.
Only one change is permitted and it must be done within 10 days from today, it added.
Passengers are allowed to delay their travel dates up to 2 months from the original date of travel, MAG said.
It adds that all fare subclass and seasonality surcharges apply as per purchased flight ticket fare rules.
Customers are able to make the booking changes at the respective airlines’ ticket office or Malaysia Airlines/MASwings Call Centre at 1300-88-3000 or Firefly Call Centre at +603 7845 4543, it said.
“The national airline wishes all Malaysians, Selamat Mengundi!” it said.
