Five senior police officers reshuffled

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today announced transfers of five of its senior officers, effective June 18.

Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Secretariat Corporate Communications head Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said one of the officers was the Coordinating Director of Operations and Policing Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Zamri Yahya.

"He will be the Bukit Aman IGP Secretariat (Research and Development) chief," she said in a statement here Tuesday.

Asmawati said Sabah Police Deputy Commissioner Datuk Razarudin Husain @ Abd Rasid would switch duties with Perak Deputy Chief of Police Datuk Omar Mammah.

In addition, she said, the Aide-de-Camp to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Prime Minister's Department, Putrajaya, Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri would take over as the Head of Secretariat, Department of Internal Security and Public Order, Bukit Aman.

He said the Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Prime Minister, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mohd Nasaruddin M Nasir will be the ACP (General Police) Special Action Unit, Special Operations Force, Department of Internal Security and Public Order, Bukit Aman.--BERNAMA
