KUALA LUMPUR: The raid on Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s residence at Jalan Langgak Duta, Taman Duta, is still ongoing after 12 hours.
The operation, which started at 10.15pm last night, saw more than 15 police cars and a truck entering the neighbourhood as media members began to converge at its entrance.
Another police Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV) was seen entering Taman Duta at 10.12am.
It is however could not be ascertained as to why the police were still at the location.
Bukit Aman's Commercial Crime Department director Datuk Seri Amar Singh Ishar Singh had said that the operation was focused on searching for items.
Najib’s lawyer, Datuk Harpal Singh Grewal, when met at the site earlier, said the police confiscated handbags, clothes, and gifts as evidence.
Police have also cordoned off the road leading to the house and were on guard inspecting vehicles coming in and out of the area.
