Video emerges of woman being removed from giant python's belly

VIDEO IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED

KUALA LUMPUR: Extremely disturbing video has emerged of a woman being removed from the belly of a seven-metre-long python in Indonesia.

It was reported yesterday that the victim – 54-year-old Wa Tiba – was swallowed by the giant reptile while she was tending her garden in Muna Island, off Sulawesi province.

The over 8-minute long footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows villagers gathering around the captured, swollen snake before a man slowly slices it open with a machete.

After prying apart the snake’s skin and stomach, the woman’s fully-clothed and perfectly whole, slime-covered body is revealed.

Wa Tiba is then removed from the animal and placed on display for several moments, before being covered from view with several sarongs.

Many of the villagers jostle to take images and videos of the event.
