KUALA LUMPUR: Local media reports some big changes expected in the Prime Minister's Department.

Following the move, these bodies will report directly to the Parliament.
The letter was said to have been from the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, approving the scrapping of 10 departments and agencies and 19 smaller divisions or offices under the Prime Minister's Office.
Among the agencies that are now operating as independent entities are the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the Election Commission (EC), the National Audit Department, The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) and the Public Prosecutor's Office.
