Selangor Sultan's sister heads list of 114 recipients of state honours

KLANG: The Sultan of Selangor’s youngest sister, Tengku Puteri Nor Zehan Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj heads the list of 114 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 73rd birthday celebration of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Shaharafuddin Idris Shah, today.

Tengku Puteri Nor Zehan, who is also the patron of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (Ractar), was conferred the Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati (DK II)

Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) chief, General Tan Sri Zulkifli Zainal Abidin; former Solicitor-General II Datin Paduka Zauyah T. Loth Khan and Khazanah Nasional Bhd managing director Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan are the three recipients of the Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS) first class honour award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’ for men and ‘Datin Paduka Seri’ for women.

Meanwhile, Tengku Puan Indera Setia Selangor, Tunku Irinah Almarhum Tuanku Jaafar; Selangor Royal Council member Datuk Salehuddin Saidin and Universiti Putra Malaysia Pro Chancellor Tan Sri Lim Ah Lek are bestowed the Datuk Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SSIS) (First Class) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Setia’ for men and ‘Datin Paduka Setia’ for women.

The investiture ceremony will be held at Istana Shah Alam today.

Shah Alam High Court judge Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah headed the list of nine recipients of the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) (Second Class), which carries the title ‘Datuk’ for men and ‘Datin Paduka’ for women.

The other DPMS recipients are Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) chief, Admiral Datuk Mohd Reza Mohd Sany; ATM 11th Brigade chief, Brig Gen Dr Mohd Radzi Abdul Hamid; Selangor police chief Datuk Pahlawan Mazlan Mansor; Touch Group Holdings Sdn Bhd director Tengku Datuk Muhamad Mazlan Tengku Putera Zainal Abidin; Petaling District Officer Roslinah Md Jani; Selangor Town and Country Planning Department director Muhammad Ridzuan Arshad; Kajang Municipal Council president Mohd Sayuthi Bakar; and Prof Dr Mohd Ali Hassan of Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Biotechnology and Biomolecular Science Faculty.

Ten 10 people will receive the Datuk-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (DSIS) (Second Class) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk’ and ‘Datin Paduka’.

Among them are Naval Special Forces (Paskal) chief First Admiral Anuar Alias, Antara Holiday Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Azman Shah Haron; Cancer Research Malaysia chief executive Prof Dr Teo Soo Hwang; Universiti Putra Malaysia Faculty of Veterinary Medicine dean Prof Dr Mohd Hair Bejo (repeat: Mohd Hair Bejo; TH Travel & Services Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Mohd Khalid Mohd Noordin and Ampang Jaya Municipal Council president Abd Hamid Hussain.

The other recipients of the DSIS are Singapore GP Pte Ltd chairman Teo Hock Seng, who was also the Singapore team’s head of delegation for the Sultan of Selangor Cup; Help University Communications Faculty dean Dr Khairuddin Othman; Sunway Group Education and Healthcare Division CEO Dr Lee Weng Keng and Nestle Philippines Technical and Production executive director Adnan Hisham Pawanteh.

Meanwhile, five national athletes are the recipients of the Ahli Kegemilangan Sukan Selangor (AKS) award. They are Sergeant Emma Firyana Saroji (lawn bowls); Farhan Adam (sepak takraw); Amy Kwan Dict Weng (rhythmic gymnastics); Muhammad Faizul M. Nasir (pencak silat); and Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman (tenpin bowling).

Fifteen people are conferred the Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS) award. They are Selangor Road Transport Department director Nazli Md Taib; director of Environmental and Natural Resources Section, Economic Planning Unit, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ahmad Kamal Wasis @ Waksis; Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang, distinguished principal Haznah Hamzah; and Ministry of Home Affairs legal officer Mohammad Al-Saifi Hashim.

The other recipients of the SMS are Deputy Rector of Student and Alumni Development, Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS), Dr Mohamad Syukri Abdul Rahman; medical officer of the Disease Control Division of the Health Ministry, Dr Norhayati Rusli; Selangor State Development Corporation chief corporate officer Siti Zubaidah Abd Jabar; division secretary of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Fadzilah Fadzil and deputy director of State Audit, National Audit Department, Selangor, Rokiah Sahat.

Other SMS recipients are Works Department Headquarters civil engineer Senior Superintendent Ruzita Zainal; Defence Ministry Accounts Division deputy chief accountant Siti Alawiyah Abdullah Shukor; Public Service Department Organisational Development Division deputy director Zarina Kadri; Malaysian Immigration Department Policy and Strategic Planning Division deputy director Mohd Syukri Hafidz Abdul Latif; Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers Selangor Branch vice chairman Ng Foong Yuon; and Universiti Putra Malaysia Alumni Association secretary-general Ghazali Salamat.

A total of 15 people will receive the Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SIS) award while 22 the Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS) and 21 the Ahli-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (AIS).

The Bintang Kegemilangan Sukan (BKS) award is bestowed on MotoGP ace Hafizh (repeat: Hafizh) Syahrin Abdullah; cyclist Fadhil Mohd Zonis (repeat: Zonis); and tenpin bowler Natasha Mohamed Roslan while seven people will receive the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (BPC) medal. — BERNAMA
