Anwar declares RM10.7 million in assets to MACC

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has declared his assets, worth a total of RM10.7 million, to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), his private secretary said today.

Shukri Saad said Anwar made the declaration to the commission following the government’s calls for Pakatan Harapan lawmakers and cabinet members to do so.

“The declaration includes an estimation of his home in Bukit Segambut, which is currently worth RM9.5 million. He had earlier bought it at RM4.5 million after selling his home in Bukit Damansara in 2005.”

The Port Dickson MP also declared a plot of land in Permatang Habib, Penor in Kuantan.

“The land purchased in 1974 at RM7,000 is now valued at RM420,000.00.

“While the rest of his assets come in the form of investments and savings accounts which are worth RM828,658.83.” he said.
