KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Leong Jun Hao continued his gallant run at the Kumamoto Masters by advancing into the men's singles semi-finals in Japan today.
World No. 31 Jun Hao upset world No. 4 Kodai Naraoka of Japan 21-17, 9-21, 21-16 in a quarter-final match that lasted 80 minutes.
It was Jun Hao's third win over Naraoka in four meetings. For the first time the Malaysian has made it to the semi-finals of a Super 500 tournament on the World Tour.
Jun How will next meet Indonesia's world No. 6 Jonatan Christie, who beat another Malaysian, Lee Zii Jia, in the last four tomorrow.
