Dr Mahathir visits Putrajaya Ramadan bazaar

PUTRAJAYA: Traders at the Presint 3 Ramadan bazaar here were pleasantly surprised when Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad turned up there this evening.

He arrived about 5.40pm and spent about 30 minutes at the bazaar which is located next to the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin mosque.

Dr Mahathir walked around the bazaar which has hundreds of stalls offering delectable food and drinks for buka puasa.

He was seen buying cakoi (Chinese deep fried dough pastries) and putu piring (steamed rice cakes).

Dr Mahathir spent some time talking to traders and visitors, and even posed for wefies with them.

He was accompanied by Putrajaya Corporation president Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim.
