Eco World donates RM16,200 worth of tables, chairs to school in Puchong

PETALING JAYA: Eco World Foundation has donated 150 sets of desks and chairs worth RM16,200 to SJK (C) Han Ming in Puchong.

Its chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said the foundation strongly believed that education was an investment for the country’s future.

“Good education has the ability to change a person’s life for the better. This is why we are focused on providing assistance in terms of education to schools that need aid.

“I ask the students to take good care of the tables and chairs and use them well. I hope the students study hard and do well academically so that they can do their part in contributing to the country in the future,” he said.

Lee also said that the foundation had ensured that the desks and chairs were of good quality to ensure durability.

Han Ming principal Chong Shiau Yen expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Eco World Foundation for their contribution.

“Chairs and tables are important assets of a school. Our school has more than 3,000 students and we need chairs and tables.

“With this contribution students will be able to study comfortably. The chairs and tables will be put to good use.”

The foundation has helped six schools, including Han Ming, with the replacement of desks and chairs for students.

A total of 560 sets of tables and chairs worth approximately RM62,000 were donated to the six schools.
