KUALA LUMPUR: The KTM Komuter service will operate on a new time schedule effective July 16 following the implementation of the upgrading project for the system and infrastructure of the Klang Valley Double Track (KVDT), which has moved to the next phase.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB), in a statement today, announced that the new schedule involved services in the Klang Valley, Seremban Commuter Express and Skypark Link. The North KTM Komuter service is not included.
“With this new scheduling, the KTM Komuter service for the route between the Pulau Sebang station and the Batu Caves station will operate directly and passengers need not use a transit bus service between the Sentul station, KL Sentral station and East Sentul LRT station.
“The transit bus service for the Segambut station-KL Sentral station route still retains its hourly frequency, from 6am until 11pm,” said the statement.
KTMB said four additional train services were provided for the route from the Pulau Sebang station to the Batu Caves station, making it a total eight services along the route.
“For the Seremban Express Commuter service, the train service in the evening, from 5.52pm, to the Seremban station will start from the Sentul station (compared to only starting from the KL Sentral station prior to this), with the addition of four stops at Sentul station, Putra station, Bank Negara station and Kuala Lumpur station,” the statement said.
