KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Ramli Din has been appointed the new Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) director, replacing Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd, who is going on compulsory retirement on Sunday.
The handing-over of duties was held at Bukit Aman here today, witnessed by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
In his speech, Abdul Hamid said Mohd Khalil, who has been with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for 38 years, had made various transformations in the department, as well as carried out successful operations against drug trafficking.
“He is an officer with integrity and highly dedicated to PDRM. I am fortunate to have a senior officer like him,” he said.
Mohd Khalil, who is from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, joined PDRM in 1982 and had held various positions, including as the Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) Patrol Unit commander, PDRM secretary, Putrajaya district police chief and Johor state police chief. - Bernama
