KUALA LUMPUR: After a frenzied Sunday of political speculations, the national palace once again becomes a hotspot with reporters descending upon it as early as 8am.
Reporters are gathered outside the gates of Istana Negara, waiting for rumoured meetings between political leaders and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on current political developments.
This follows alleged shake-up in the federal government currently led by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
Although there have been no official announcements, the unity within the coalition appears to have gathered cracks.
PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday confirmed there have been efforts to topple the current administration by forming a new coalition and government involving Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) leaders and some from PKR.
Various political parties convened meetings yesterday but the outcome of those meetings have not been communicated to the public officially.
