UiTM suspends all activities inline with restricted movement order [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: All activities at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) will be suspended from March 18 to 31 in line with the government’s restricted movement order.

Its vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Azraai Kassim said all classes will be cancelled, e-learning included.

He said all meetings, trainings, workshops, conferences, academic visits, sports, co-curriculum and community services would also be postponed.

“Semester break has been rescheduled and will start from April 1 to 12. A new academic calendar for March to July session will be announced soon,” he said in the circular dated Mar 17.

Azraai said students are instructed to vacate the residential college and return to their respective home starting today till Apr 12.

The government has imposed a 14-day restricted movement order from March 18 to 31 nationwide to curb the spread of the Covid-19 infection in Malaysia.
