SCIENCE, Technology and Innovation Ministry's (Mosti) FAQ on Movement Control Order:
1: Will the ministry continue to operate as usual?
A: As a measure to control the spread of Covid-19 and in line with the Movement Control Order (MCO), all staff will work from home. The ministry can be reached via email or its hotline at 03-8885 8522 for any queries on programme and activities.
2: Will departments and agencies under Mosti remain open to the public?
A: The headquarters and all departments and agencies under Mosti such as the National Science Centre and National Planetarium will be temporarily closed from March 16 until a later date.
3: Will programmes involving mass audiences such as the National Science Week continue as usual?
A: All Mosti programmes involving mass audiences are suspended and the public will be notified of any from time to time.
4: How can public licensees obtain services from the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) during the MCO period?
A: The licensee and public can still obtain services provided by the AELB via the e-license system (eSPP) or email. Contact persons are as below:

5: Will the applications for the Malaysia Social innovation (MySI) Fund application be extended after its closing date on March 20?
A: The closing date for the MySI Fund has been extended to Apr 7. Applications can be made through emysi.mestecc.gov.my portal.
6: Are officers from Mosti allowed to enter their offices during the MCO?
A: Officers must obtain written permission from the ministry’s management to enter the premises, should there be an urgent need for it.
7: Will claims submitted by the suppliers for completed services be processed during the MCO?
A: Claim invoices will be processed accordingly.
8: What will happen to tenders and quotations with closing dates during the MCO period?
A: The closing dates for tenders and quotations have been extended, as per the notice issued via the invitation platform.
9: What is the position of tenders or quotations that expired during the MCO period?
A: The validation date for tenders and quotes has been extended, as per the notice issued via the invitation platform.
10: Will the briefing on tenders and quotations proceed as planned during the MCO?
A: No. The briefing will be rescheduled.
