UMW head Badrul Feisal dies aged 51

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Holdings Bhd president and group chief executive officer, Badrul Feisal Abdul Rahim, died late yesterday evening due to a heart attack.

He was 51-years-old.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, UMW said that Badrul joined the company on Oct 1, 2015, and had contributed to its success in key value-creation projects at various business divisions. This includes in making UMW the first Malaysian company to become a Tier-1 aerospace engine component manufacturer for Rolls-Royce Plc, as the group continues to embark on its ambitious journey of transformation that aims to take the group to new heights.

"Badrul consistently demonstrated the highest values in business, governance and integrity, and made an indelible mark with his great service, personal relationships and outstanding stewardship. We are deeply saddened by his passing," it said. - Bernama
