KUALA LUMPUR: All schools are required to have dedicated lanes for special needs students to facilitate their body temperature checks.
This was mentioned in a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) prepared by the Education Ministry in conjunction with the reopening of schools.
It said teachers and school staff who are tasked to assist these students do not need to put on face masks.
This was to ensure that there will be effective communication for this category of students, especially for those with hearing or sight impairment.
On another matter, the ministry said there will be no physical sporting and co-curricular activities can be conducted at school fields until an official announcement is made by the Education Ministry.
The same list of FAQs said no one is permitted to use the fields until the announcement is made.
For now, competitive sports and curriculum activities can only be held online, said the ministry.
However, students involved with preparatory training with national teams can proceed with the approval from the ministry according to existing procedures.
