Bersatu will issue statement tomorrow

PETALING JAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) concluded its supreme council meeting tonight but leaders kept mum on the details discussed, saying that a statement will be issued tomorrow.

On the heels of its ongoing conflict with Umno over various issues including electoral seats, Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the outcome of the party's supreme leadership council meeting would be revealed in a statement by party secretary-general Datuk Hamzah Zainudin.

"We discussed quite a few things during the meeting and a statement will be issued tomorrow (Thursday)," said Muhyiddin when met after chairing the three-hour meeting.

His deputy Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu when met later only said among the matters discussed were issues on the Covid-19 pandemic and the floods.

"We will be going to the ground to see to the people's needs and address the issues that they are facing. The meeting took place with everyone in a good mood."
