KOTA BARU: Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz, who was warded at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZII), here, after testing positive for Covid-19 recently, was discharged today.
The Padang Rengas member of parliament was allowed to return home this evening.
The 66-year-old was placed under quarantine at the hospital since Jan 18.
Nazri was a close contact of a blogger, Zaharin Mohd Yasin who attended Nazri's press conference on Jan 12.
Zaharin also tested positive for Covid-19.
Nazri had called for a press conference recently to announce his withdrawal of support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was also at the same event.
Nazri was among politicians who tested positive for the virus recently.
The others include Deputy Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin (Jan 13); Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin (Jan 12); Women, Family and Community Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun (Jan 10); Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed (Jan 9); and Sabah Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan (Jan 3).
