KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 78 trainees at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) at Jalan Semarak, here, have tested positive for Covid-19.
Bukit Aman Management Department director Datuk Ramli Din said all of them have been quarantined for further treatment.
"The related hostels (where they are staying) are being sanitised, with no movement in or out allowed, except for getting necessities.
"The Health Ministry is monitoring this matter," he said when contacted.
He said 525 trainees underwent Covid-19 screening recently.
Yesterday, Malaysia hit a new daily record of 5,725 Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative tally of infections in the country to 203,933.
