No curfew, but public advised not to be outside after 8pm

KUALA LUMPUR: While no curfew would be imposed during the two-week nationwide total lockdown starting this Tuesday, senior minister (security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob advised the public not to be out of their homes after 8pm.

This, as all shops and premises can only open from 8am to 8pm during the lockdown.

Movement will also be limited to 10km from a person's home to obtain daily essentials or seek medical services.

For matters related to death or natural disasters, permission to travel must be obtained from the police.

As for vaccination, a person must provide proof of the vaccine appointment in order to exceed the 10km travel distance limit.

Meanwhile, only two people including the driver are allowed in a vehicle together to get daily essentials, but for medical related matters, three people can travel together in a vehicle.

E-hailing services and cab services are allowed, limited to two in a car including the driver.

Public transport can continue to operate at 50 per cent capacity.
