KUCHING: Sarawak will enter Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) on Wednesday.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas said all relevant agencies had examined the Covid-19 situation in the state and the National Security Council (NSC) has agreed that the state has achieved the threshold of the three main indicators for the transition to take place.
"Thus, Sarawak is allowed to transit to next phase of the plan, effective on July 14," he said in a statement today.
Uggah said, as for now, all the standard operating procedures (SOPs) remain effective until July 13, 11.59pm.
"Congratulations everyone who made this happen, especially the frontliners and those involved in the state's Covid-19 vaccination programme," he said.
However, the people are reminded to always adhere to the SOPs and stay at home to break the Covid-19 infection chain.
