Plus Malaysia wins Best Highway Brand Communication at Highway Industry Awards 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: Plus Malaysia Bhd emerged one of the winners at the Highway Industry Awards 2021 held at the Marriott Hotel in Putrajaya, tonight.

Launched by Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, the event was co-organised by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and the Malaysian Highway Concession Companies Association.

Awards under eight categories were presented last night to deserving highway concessionaires and individuals for their unwavering commitment towards the highway industry.

Plus walked away with the Best Highway Brand Communication Award.

The other seven awards up for grabs were the Highway Leadership Award; Highway Hero Award; Highway Innovation and Operations Award; Green Highway Award; Best Information Management Award; Highway Dynamic Design Award and the Highway Construction Technology Innovation Award.

Also present at the award ceremony was Malaysian Highway Authority chairman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari, Works Ministry deputy secretary-general (Policy and Development) Datuk Wan Ahmad Uzir Wan Sulaiman, LLM director-general Datuk Shuhaimi Hassan and Malaysian Highway Concession Companies Association chairman Datuk Azman Ismail.

In a statement tonight, LLM said the award programme was to give due recognition to highway concessionaires and relevant stakeholders for their contributions towards highway management and development in the last 41 years.

"The award ceremony is a prestigious one which is given to appreciate the contributions of those who have shown leadership and exemplary qualities in the highway industry," it said.

Apart from that, the Works Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Attorney-General (AG), Public and Private Cooperation Unit, Public Works Department, the police, Road Transport Department, Fire and Rescue Department, Occupational Safety and Health Department, Environment Department, Department of the Director General of Lands & Mines (JKPTG), Institute Road Research & Safety (MIROS) and the organisers received the Highway Industry Appreciation Certificate for providing good cooperation in ensuring the construction and operation of the highways could be done smoothly.
