KUALA LUMPUR: There should be longevity to the service excellence and achievements demonstrated by ministries during the first 100-days of administration under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali said efforts by the ministries, including its agencies, should extend beyond the government's 100-Day Hari Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (AKM).
"The AKM is not limited to the first 100 days of administration. It is our hope that all ministries will continue to give their full commitment to realise the medium and long-term aspirations and various initiatives of the prime minister for the wellbeing and prosperity of Keluarga Malaysia," said Zuki.
He was speaking at the launch of the 100-Day AKM at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today. Also present was Ismail Sabri and his ministers.
Zuki said the AKM, which is the brainchild of the prime minister, was to ensure that the ministries maintained a high performance work culture and best delivery services in the interest of the people, especially when facing the post Covid-19 pandemic scenario.
That had led to the prime minister introducing the 100-Day AKM, where 26 ministries and five agencies under the Prime Minister's Department must prove their achievements from Sept 1 to Dec 9.
The four-day 100-Day AKM event created history of sorts for the country as it was the first of its kind where all government ministries and agencies came together under one roof at the same time, said Zuki.
"This marked a new record, one that is unique and special which saw the cooperation and solid synergy under the spirit of Keluarga Malaysia to make it a success.
"The Keluarga Malaysia concept came at the right time amid us being tested with the pandemic, which had triggered a health crisis and impacted the nation's economy.
"It is the time for us to face the challenges brought about by the pandemic together as a big, loving family and be concerned with the fate of our members.
"The Keluarga Malaysia aspiration has indirectly given us the strength to face the coming challenges," said Zuki.
