BENTONG: The remains of a boy, believed to be one of the three people who had been swept away by a column of water at the Bobby Eco Camp resort compound on Saturday night, was found today.

The body, identified as six-year-old Emmanuel Chang Li Zheng was recovered about 800 metres from the spot where he was last seen, at about 10.30am.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department deputy director (operations) Ismail Abdul Ghani said a sweep by the search and rescue (SAR) team led to the discovery of the body in an area filled with piles of wood and debris.

"The rescue team had to remove the piles of wood which were swept away by strong currents during the floods before retrieving the body. The remains were handed to the police.

"SAR operations are ongoing to locate the third victim, a male adult, who was reported missing during the incident on Saturday," he said in a statement.

Yesterday, rescue personnel found the remains of Yap Koon Lan, 66, buried underneath a pile of logs and sand at about 200m from the spot where she was last seen.

Yap along with two others including a male adult and a six-year-old boy, who came to the resort with his family, had been reported missing.
