Four in a family killed in KL crash [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Four members of a family were killed in an accident involving two vehicles along the Sultan Iskandar Highway, here, today.

In the 10.40am incident, the victims who were in a Hyundai Starex multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) was struck by a four-wheel drive Toyota Hilux which had lost control.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department's Operations Centre said it received an emergency call of the incident at 10.52am.

"Two vehicles from the Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) and BBP Sri Hartamas were dispatched to the scene.

"Upon arrival at the location, personnel conducted rescue work and extricated the victims who were trapped in the vehicle," he said in a statement, today.

According to him, the victim who were killed were identified as P. Milan Damani, 32; C. Thinisha, 31 and two boys D. Ishaan Ivaan, 3 and D. Rihaan Ivaan, 4.

"The driver of the Toyota Hilux suffered minor injuries and was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment," he said.
