KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin proposed the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the country to reopen its borders at the Covid-19 Quartet Ministers Meeting today.
Khairy, in a tweet today, said that he had also recommended the SOPs for congregational prayers at mosques as well as the regulations on operation hours for restaurants to be reviewed.
However, he said, the review is still subject to approval and implementation of state governments and local councils.
Khairy had, on Feb 24, said the Cabinet has finalised a date to fully reopen Malaysia's borders.
Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein is expected to make an announcement on this matter this evening.
