Lazada celebrates 10 years in Malaysia

ECOMMERCE retailer Lazada is marking 10 years of trailblazing the growth of eCommerce in Southeast Asia, by kicking off a year-long celebration with a series of activities.

These activities include the introduction of a personalised Time Machine, an in-app feature celebrating special moments that have added to consumers' lives over the years.

In addition to highlighting Lazada's shared milestones with consumers over the past decade, users can discover which of the nine unique shopper profiles they match with, in order to unlock recent lifestyle insights and collect additional Lazada Epic 10th Birthday gifts when they share their #MyLazadaTimeMachine profiles on their own social media channels, as part of the Lazada Epic 10th Birthday celebration.

The brand's latest short film also transports consumers into Lazada City, where Lazada's brand ambassadors lead guests through the vibrant and futuristic retail wonderland to meet Lazada's mascot Lazzie and a surprise guest around a birthday cake at the heart of the city to celebrate Lazada's Epic 10th Birthday.

As part of the celebrations, Lazada's LazLive channel will feature 10 hours of non-stop livestream programming, exclusive giveaways, and celebrity performances at its signature Super Party, all leading up to Lazada's Epic 10th Birthday Sale, which begins at midnight on March 27.

The Lazada EPIC 10th Birthday Livestream Party, which will take place on March 27 from 2pm to midnight, will include a specially curated line-up of in-app livestreams with over 100 exclusive Epic deals up for grabs, as well as RM80,000 in vouchers and an Epic Birthday Blind Box up for grabs to the lucky viewers.

This leads up to the highly anticipated Lazada Super Party, where popular Malaysian singers such as Ziana Zain, Dolla, Aina Abdul, and Khai Bahar will perform.

The Super Party will also feature the appearance of two of Malaysia's hottest celebrities and Lazada's Brand Ambassadors, Nabila Razali and Nora Danish.

Voucher Rain, one of Lazada's signature Shoppertainment features, returns for in-app viewers to collect more vouchers for use during Lazada's Epic 10th Birthday Sale, along with their Free Shipping and Lazada Bonus rewards.

Lazada also launched a #ShareYourEpic birthday social media contest across Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand where consumers could share their video entries on Instagram Reels or TikTok while creatively featuring screenshots of their Lazada shopping cart.

One of the 20 winners from Malaysia will be selected to advance to the second round of the contest in April, and stand a chance to emerge as the ultimate winner receiving the grand prize of a Lazada shopping spree worth USD10,000.

LazCoins: More Cashback Rewards

By earning LazCoins, shoppers can redeem rewards and enjoy even more savings on their purchases.

From March 27 - 29, Lazada will fuel the excitement further by offering 50 per cent LazCoins cashback rewards with no minimum spend to all loyal Lazada customers.

Grab bargains with Lazzie Hunt and Lazzie Star

Lazzie Hunt is making its comeback with more rewards and an additional fun feature, Lazzie BID, where one can convert collected Lazzie to win awesome prizes sponsored by brands like Xiao Mi, Dibea, Tineco, and more.

Until May 10, shoppers can collect Lazzie through the Lazzie Hunt Mission Centre on the app, or by scanning the QR codes on Lazada parcels and at participating partner stores or rides such as Maxis, CIMB Bank, Domino's, US Pizza, Oppo, AirAsia Ride, and Babyshop.

The collected Lazzie can be redeemed for a wide range of vouchers, wallet rebates, LazCoins, and more.

Lazzie will also debut as a baker in Lazada's latest game, Lazzie Star - Cake Master, available until March 29.
