PUTRAJAYA: Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said he is ready to be called again by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to explain issues related to the MySejahtera application.
Khairy said he has yet to receive any notification from the committee and did not understand what PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh meant when the latter told a news portal that the government was "unable to ascertain and is confused" as to who decided on the development and procurement of MySejahtera.
"I am not sure what he meant when he (Wong) made that statement. My explanation was clear when I called in to testify on the issue.
"Nevertheless, if they want to call me again, they can do so," he told reporters after launching the Stop Smoking Service (mQuit) programme at mosque at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque here today.
Wong told the Edge and CodeBlue that there was major confusion on which body in the government appointed KPISoft Sdn Bhd — now Entomo Malaysia Sdn Bhd — to develop the MySejahtera application in April 2020.
The Ipoh Timur member of Parliament had said the government documentation of the MySejahtera deal was weak.
Wong also confirmed that there was not even a letter of appointment for KPISoft to create the application.
He made the statement after a three-hour long proceeding on the development and procurement of the application.
Apart from Khairy, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz was also called in to testify before the committee over the issue.
