KUALA LUMPUR: 2021 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination candidates will receive their results at their respective schools from 10am today.
Twitter has been flooded with over 16,000 tweets about the SPM results, with students expressing excitement as well as anxiety as they wait.
This batch of candidates went through the added stress of taking the examination under strict health and safety conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Amid the many memes and comments, several candidates expressed the 'horror' of having to deal with the aftermath of their results from parents, relatives and society despite them personally being satisfied with the outcome.
"Can we all agree that the thing that makes us scared the most about getting our (SPM) results is "mulut orang"?", a candidate wrote on Twitter, which garnered over 1,700 likes and over 600 retweets.
"The reality is that every one of us can accept the outcome (results) but we are just scared and worried about the reaction from others. Of what family and relatives might say," wrote another.
"It's always 'how many As did you get' but never 'I'm so proud of you for struggling and trying your best to stay alive despite all of this. It hurts," a candidate tweeted.
"Please make my parents the happiest and proudest tomorrow and forever. #SPM2021," said another.
The Education Ministry had earlier said that both public school and private SPM candidates can also check their results online at myresultspm.moe.gov.my from 10am to 6pm on June 24
