PASIR MAS: The Education Ministry confirmed that all Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates affected by the floods successfully sat for the Malay Language Oral Examination, which began today after their transfer operations were fully completed yesterday.
Minister Fadhlina Sidek said all candidates, including those who were trapped, were rescued by various agencies, with no candidates left behind.
They are now housed in dormitories equipped with the best facilities, including books, internet, and computers.
"Alhamdulillah, all our SPM candidates have been successfully relocated to safe places, such as dormitories, through Op Payung with the help of various agencies.
"All candidates placed in the dormitories are provided with the best facilities, including books, internet, and computers," she said at a press conference after visiting the Pasir Mas district education office and several flood-affected schools today.
Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that the armed forces had deployed trucks to the three states most affected by the floods to transport SPM candidates to dormitories and examination centres.
He stated that this was to ensure candidates in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah could reach their examination centres on time.
