KUALA LUMPUR: Police will summon the organisers of the gathering "Walk for Judicial Independence" next week.
Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said all organisers would be called to have their statements recorded, including president of the Malaysian Bar.
"All the organisers who attended the gathering yesterday will be summoned next week," he told the media today.
Yesterday, Noor Dellhan said police had launched a probe into the gathering which was held between 9am and 11.22am at the Padang Merbok car park.
He said investigations were being conducted under Section 15(3) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 as well as Rule 6 and 7 of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (National Recovery Plan) (Transition Phase to Endemic) Regulations 2022.
