KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has deployed its traffic wardens to control and monitor traffic movement at the city's main arteries as a power outage across the Klang Valley this afternoon has affected traffic lights.
It advised road users to be careful to avoid untoward incidents.
TNB Careline, in a Facebook post, said there were power disruptions in several areas and their technical team was identifying the cause of the incident and working to restore supply.
Social media has been flooded with updates of electricity blackouts in various parts of the Klang Valley, and some parts of the peninsular as well.
In the Komuniti Bandar Sunway Facebook group, it said that Sunway, Sri Manja and the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Complex were affected.
Bukit Lanjan state assemblyman Elizabeth Wong said Petaling Jaya, Kepong and Selayang as well as Banting and Balakong have also reported power outage.
