Mapim says Rishi Sunak is puppet PM of Zionist Israel

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organisations (Mapim) strongly rejects and condemns the newly appointed British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Its president Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid claimed Sunak was known for his declaration towards the support of Israel where he previously called Jerusalem a historic capital, while also vowing to fight the anti-zionist 'Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS)' movement.

He also said he was not surprised that Sunak's declaration as a friend of the United Kingdom's (UK) Jewish community because whoever sits in the prime minister's chair would only be supported if the position on backing Israel is fully embraced.

"Declaring his unwavering support for Israel in his first few days of office is signalling that the UK will be in confrontation with the Muslims both within the UK and the world.

"His declaration of war against BDS and antisemitism depicts his readiness to become a puppet prime minister for the zionist Israel," he said in a recent statement.

The 42-year-old Sunak became the country's first British Asian prime minister following the resignation of Liz Truss recently.

Mohd Azmi also called Muslims worldwide to rise and stand up against Sunak, whom he labelled a fascist prime minister.

"We remind Sunak that he is playing with fire in his premiership.

"We demand that any policies that he will pursue in crystallising the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel must be opposed in the strongest terms," he added.
