Sabah flood victims increase to 923 people

KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims has increased to 923 people from 300 families in five districts here following an overnight downpour.

According to the Sabah State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), the number of victims increased by 199 compared to the last report issued at 4pm yesterday.

Tenom still recorded the highest number of victims which is 396 at five evacuation centres.

Currently, there are 327 victims in Keningau, 129 in Sipitang and another 62 victims in Kunak.

Meanwhile, the Penampang centre only has nine victims.
