GUA MUSANG: A man died after crashing into a cow in the middle of the road in an accident at Jalan Felda Aring 6 here this morning.
In the 5 am incident, Mohammad Shahrul Hakimi Haslimi, 22, who was riding a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle, died at the scene due to severe head injuries.
The cow only suffered a broken leg.
Gua Musang District Police Chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the victim was on his way from Felda Aring 6 to his workplace at Felda Aring 4.
"The cow was in the middle of the road and the victim did not have time to avoid it but hit the cow instead.
"The victim fell on the road and suffered severe head injuries. He was taken to the Felda Aring 1 clinic by members of the public but died on the way," he said in a statement here today.
Shahrul Hakimi's body was take to the Gua Musang Hospital for an autopsy.
