KOTA BARU: The official birthday celebration for the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V has been moved from November to September, beginning next year.
This was stated in a letter from the Menteri Besar's Office to the Kelantan state secretary.
The letter, dated Dec 5, was signed by Menteri Besar's senior private secretary Khairul Azwan Khalid.
It stated that Menteri Besar had taken note of the change in the Ruler's birthday celebrations date.
The new dates would from next year onwards fall on Sept 29 and 30 every year.
Before this, Kelantan observed a two-day holiday for the sultan's birthday celebrations which took place on Nov 11 and 12 annually.
