KUALA LUMPUR: The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) raided the Ampang parliamentary constituency service centre which has been in operation for almost nine years.
"The (building that was raided) is the Ampang parliamentary constituency service centre which has been operating for almost nine years," said former Ampang member of parliament, Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin,
The former plantation industries and commodities minister said this when asked to comment on a viral tweet which claimed that MPAJ had taken action against a woman who was allegedly a former minister for building an office on MPAJ land without permission.
"There was a woman who built an office on MPAJ land without permission. Today (she has) been charged. Rumour has it that she is a former minister," Twitter user @lady_bugg11 wrote.
Meanwhile, MPAJ when contacted confirmed that the parliamentary constituency service centre had not received approval.
"MPAJ received good cooperation from the parliamentary constituency service centre manager who agreed to hand over the premises," MPAJ told FMT.
