Buletin TV9 extended to 50 minutes

KUALA LUMPUR: TV9's prime time news programme, Buletin TV9, will be extended from 30 minutes to 50 minutes from Jan 1 following an increase in viewership from 150,000 to 500,000 viewers daily.

Buletin TV9 airs at 7pm on TV9, YouTube and Facebook simultaneously .

In a statement, TV9 said the news programme was extended to adapt to current times and to meet audience demand.

It said the extended new programme will include local and international news, entertainment news, on-the-ground reports, inspirational stories and weather updates.

The "Turun Padang" segment will allow members of the public to share problems and issues they are facing so that the authorities can take action.

TV9 said journalists will get comments from relevant parties, including local authorities and leaders, on issues featured in the "Turun Padang" segment.

The "Potret Inspirasi" segment will highlight inspirational personalities, including from local communities, the business sector and non-governmental organisations, to inspire people to try new things and explore new fields.

Viewers will also receive the latest weather updates for major cities and towns nationwide, presented in a refreshing new graphic format.

The entertainment news segment will feature Malaysian and international artistes and showcase new talent and the latest trends in the arts and entertainment.

TV9 said these segments will provide fresh content to ensure TV9's news programme becomes viewers' top choice.

Buletin TV9 will be helmed by presenters Nur Affizza Azmi, Zaira Sri Zakaria, Ahmad Barr Zainal Abidin, Intan Syazwina Suhaimi, Wan Saifulizam Wan Ahmad and Mas Zharif Zhafri Abdul Azid, who won the 2022 Seri Angkasa Award for Best TV Journalist.
