KUALA LUMPUR: Frustrated Harimau Malaya fans left negative comments on Jay Chou social media accounts after they failed to secure tickets for AFF Cup 2022 semi-final match on Saturday.
Many of the football fans told the King of Mandopop that he was not welcome for a concert in Malaysia and he was cause that they fans could not get the tickets.
They had also asked him to postpone his concert to another date.
Facebook user Irza Tazzi wrote: "Shuhh shuhh go away, we as Malaysian football fans (do) not allow you to make (have) concert on Bukit Jalil Stadium… go somewhere else, for example under the bridge, you can have your own audiences there."
Pee Aziz said: "Please don't come to Malaysia ...you are not welcome .... please do concert at another place...Malaysia is not China ... Do you think you are so famous; you think you got 90,000 people (to) see you at Malaysia Bukit Jalil Stadium....Please, before you take (bring) Covid here ....go away."
Tha Nose said: "Please postpone concert, I expected Harimau Malaya to go to final."
Hazirul Annuar Mustafa said: "Who are you? Postpone your concert first. We have a greater mission than your concert."
Abd Qay-yum said: "Aiyaaa, people go to stadium to watch football, not concert."
Khairul Khairi said: "Please postpone your concert... national team is (more) important than concert."
Malaysian football fans were left fuming as only 59,000 tickets are sold for the AFF Cup 2022 football match between the national team and Thailand on Jan 7.
This comes after FAM secretary-general Noor Azman Rahman said 21,000 seats have to be vacated as they will be occupied by the structure of for Jay Chou's concert stage, which was in the process of being installed.
The Bukit Jalil National Stadium can seat a maximum of 87,411 sports fans at any given time.
