KOTA KINABALU: A swearing-in ceremony for the new Sabah Cabinet ministers is expected to be held this morning.
An NSTP survey at the main gate of Istana Seri Kinabalu found that police have already started security checks as early as 6.30am.
Several luxury vehicles believed to be carrying members of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) who will be sworn in, have also started entering palace grounds.
It is understood that the ceremony will take place at 10am at the palace's Ceremonial Hall.
Earlier, the swearing-in ceremony was held after a meeting of several political party leaders with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Monday.
Anwar suggested that local leaders establish a Sabah State Unity Government to resolve the political turmoil that has recently plagued the state.
