KUALA LUMPUR: McDonald's Malaysia is the latest restaurant operator to offer a budget friendly RM5 Menu Rahmah meals to its customers.
Customers can choose either Chicken Burger, Bubur Ayam McD, or McEgg to go along with small Iced Lemon Tea.
The McDonald's Menu Rahmah initiative was launched by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub and is now available all day at its restaurants nationwide.
Also present was McDonald's Malaysia vice president Melati Abdul Hai.
At the event, McDonald's treated orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Peribadi Mulia in Kajang.
The Menu Rahmah initiative was launched at the end of January involving around 15,000 premises selling food for under RM5 as an effort to help reduce the cost of living for the public.
Meanwhile McDonald's special Ramadan menu — Chicken Foldover and Beef Foldover — will also be available beginning today.
