Raja Muda of Perak breaks fast at Tuminah Hamidi Mosque

BAGAN DATUK: The Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa attended a breaking fast event at the Tuminah Hamidi Mosque, here yesterday (Apr 10).

Raja Jaafar's arrival at 6.50pm was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament.

Also present were state Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture and Food Industries Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun; state Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah and Rungkup assemblyman Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya.

The event, attended by 1500 congregants, commenced with the Quran recitation, followed by Tahlil and Doa selamat.

After breaking fast, Raja Jaafar then performed Maghrib prayers along with the congregation. He also performed Isyak and Tarawih prayers at the Mosque.

The construction of the Tuminah Hamidi Mosque, which commenced in 2017, involved a cost of RM53 million, of which all funds were donated by the Al-Falah Foundation.

The project was mooted by Ahmad Zahid and the mosque was named after his parents, the late Raden Hamidi Abdul Fatah and the late Tuminah Abdul Jalil.

The Tuminah Hamidi Mosque complex can accommodate up to 5,000 worshipers at any one time.

Apart from the mosque section, the complex also contains a hall, named the Tuminah Hamidi Hall, complete with a dressing room, an audio room and a VVIP lounge.

It also provides an ample parking area to accommodate congregants from the Bagan Datuk area.– Bernama
