KUALA LUMPUR: Police will be offering discounts for traffic summonses starting this Friday (April 21) until May 21.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the summonses involved all traffic offences committed last year and previous years.
"The people will only have to pay RM50 for each of the summonses. The special rate, however, is not applicable for traffic summonses issued this year," he said.
Anwar nevertheless stressed that the police are committed to ensuring road safety is at an optimum level, especially during the festive season.
