KUALA LUMPUR: The police are offering a 60 per cent discount on traffic summonses from Nov 22 to 24 as part of Program Dua Tahun Kerajaan Madani.
The programme, which marks the second-year anniversary of the Madani government, will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, from 9am to 6pm, daily.
The Home Ministry's official Facebook page states that the campaign coincides with the Konvensyen Nasional Reformasi Perkhidmatan Awam 2024 event for civil servants.
While the discount criteria have not been released, previous campaigns excluded certain types of offences.
These included summonses involving traffic lights, emergency lanes, double-line overtaking, dangerous overtaking, accidents, non-compoundable offences, court cases, exhaust modifications and heavy vehicles.
Op Selamat-related offences were also excluded.
