KUALA LUMPUR: Patrons of an eatery in Shah Alam were disgusted when they saw cockroaches crawling over some bread inside a bread steamer recently.
In a 21-second video posted on TikTok, the little critters could be seen roaming freely on pieces of bread on a shelf of the bread steamer.
"Looking at steamed bread (No), Looking at cockroaches doing a show (Yes)," the caption read.
The video has since been shared 184 times and received 173 comments.
The comments section also saw reactions from patrons who went to the eatery.
One of the TikTok users commented: "This is the place that we went (to) yesterday, my husband gave a sidelong glance at me saying that he saw flies on it."
Meanwhile, another user commented: "The cockroaches are having a party (in there)."
Previously, there were instances of viral videos surfacing on social media where rats and rodents were found in eateries and fast food chains, which prompted the Health Ministry to shut down the premises over hygiene issues.
At Press time, the New Straits Times have reached out to the Health Ministry in regards to the viral video.
