KEMAMAN: Chukai assemblyman Hanafiah Mat and three others sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at KM127.7 of the East Coast Highway 1 (LPT1) near Temerloh this afternoon.
The incident happened at 4.20pm when they were travelling in a Range Rover sports utility vehicle (SUV) to Kemaman from Kuala Lumpur.
The SUV was driven by Hanafiah's driver, Zubairi Zahari.
Zubairi said at the time of the incident, their SUV was cruising on the right lane when a lorry, laden with fruits, suddenly swerved in from the left.
"The lorry didn't give any signal and hit the vehicle I was driving causing it to lose control and overturn.
"Two other passengers and me were slightly injured but Hanafiah, apart from the minor injury, complained of a back pain.
"He is currently receiving treatment at the Kuantan Medical Centre (KMC)," he said.
