KUALA LUMPUR: A female passenger on a bus recently experience a "horror" journey when she was harassed by a male passenger.
The 13-second viral clip uploaded by user @sha.az on TikTok showed a male passenger, who sat behind her, constantly placing his hand on her seat as if he wanted to touch her.
The man had also moved his hand and grabbed the sides of the seat where she was sitting.
According to the victim, the incident happened during her journey using the Mayang Sari Express bus, en route from Jerteh to Johor Baru.
"Alhamdulillah, I did not expect the video to go viral (and) it is only a reminder for women to be careful after this to avoid unnecessary situations.
"Women need to be careful when travelling alone after this! Don't be careless! There are many types of people nowadays," she wrote.
At the same time, she said the bus driver was also informed and had warned the male passenger of his actions.
"The driver said if it happened again, he would immediately proceed to the nearest police station," she said.
The short clip, which has gained over 100,000 views, also sparked netizens' outrage, especially since what was believed to be a silver wedding ring could be seen on the man's ring finger.
Some had also offered advice as to how to stay safe when commuting on public transportation.
