KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has swung its way to victory and into the record books, breaking the Guinness World Records for holding the "Largest Gathering in Spider-Man Costume".
The event that took place yesterday at AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi managed to collect 685 'Spider-Man' of various ages and genders who attended wearing the superhero character's costume.
The record was confirmed by a representative who is also the Official Guinness World Record adjudicator, Kazuyoshi at 4.40pm.
At the event, all participants present were asked to remain in the space provided for five minutes thus breaking the previous record with a total of 601 participants in the event organised in India in December 2021.
Kazuyoshi then presented the certificate of appreciation to Sony Pictures Malaysia Managing Director, Simon Foo and AEON's Chief Property Officer, Lee Beng Beng.
